Take Time to Apply the 5 P’s of Life!

1. Prayer- Take time to pray to God, our creator, on a daily basis. Develop sensitivity to hearing the voice of God. Listen and let Him direct your steps. God speaks to us in different ways. He speaks to us through dreams and visions, through scriptures, that still small voice and intuition, through prophecy, and other mature believers.

2. Power- Recognize that you have the power to overcome your obstacles, challenges, addictions, and strongholds. There is power in your thoughts. If you think you can then you can; if you think you can’t then you can’t. Believe in yourself. Positive thoughts will lead towards a powerful life. Negative thoughts will lead you towards a pitiful life. You can be pitiful or powerful. The choice is yours.

3. Purpose- You was created with a hope and a future for a purpose. Know your purpose. Everyone has an assignment in this world. However, it is up to you to find out what it is. It is your purpose that makes life worth living. Take a personal inventory and take a look at what you are naturally talented in, your strengths, likes, dislikes, etc. Purpose usually comes from your pain. Take a look at your struggles and challenges you’ve gone through. The painful situations you usually find yourselves in are what opens the door to our purpose. Our pain will be used for our good.

4. Push- Push away negative people, places, things, and thoughts that will prevent you from being the best you can be. Push away anyone or anything that will poison your mind. Push away anything that is not right for you. Push away being a people pleaser. Push away not being true to yourself. Push away foolishness.

5. Procrastination- Try to AVOID at all cost. Procrastination is when we make a decision for no valid reason to delay or not complete a task or a goal we’ve committed to and instead do something of lesser importance. Procrastination usually leads to negative consequences and anxiety. Sometimes we procrastinate when we really do not want to do something due to fear. Press on and get the task over. Many of us put off pursing our dreams due to a fear of failure or success. Step out in faith in follow your dreams. You only fail from not trying. If your plans do not work, change them and keep going.

The Power of Positive Thinking

positive thinkingIf you want to make progress in your personal development, It is crucial to keep the proper mindset. Negative thinking will only slow your progress in that department and may thwart your best efforts. Practice positive thinking to achieve positive results. When you stay positive about all that you do, great things will follow.

You have to take some time to actually start contemplating what you think about, if you need to advance your thought patterns .Positive thinking is not a thing that just happens overnight, you are required to create a tradition of thinking positive.

A terrific way to help you think positively is to write whatever you like about yourself. Sometimes depressed people develop such a powerful, negative perspective of themselves because they could only see the things they don’t enjoy. Writing down a list of stuff you like about yourself can allow you to see yourself in another, more positive light.

It’s time to maintain a gratitude journal once you find it difficult to have something to be positive about. This is a terrific means for you to understand that your life is really not as bad as you believe it is. After a while, you will not need to think so hard since you’ll begin to develop an “attitude of gratitude” that makes you appreciate your own life.

If you find a particularly nasty thought rising, push yourself to come up with at least two favorable or flattering things about the person or individuals in question. Over time, often practicing this exercise shapes your emotions by immediately calling to mind the most positive aspects of both individuals and situations.

Becoming a positive thinker, you’ve got to banish negative thoughts from your thinking and replace them with positive thoughts. This is called thought management.

You are going to need to start training yourself to think otherwise, in case you are someone who’s generally reactive to situations. False beliefs will certainly cause us to react and say or do something we will regret. Try responding instead, for example, instead of thinking that something bad is going to happen and reacting, why take a deep breath and tell yourself that everything will be alright.

As you begin to apply these principles in your daily life, you may really begin to change your thinking and be positive.

Many people find it hard to say no to other people for one reason or the other. Its not always easy to take a firm step and say no. There are many reasons for this. Thinking you are a bad person for saying no is a symptom of “the disease to please.” “Saying yes when you need to say no causes burnout. You do yourself and the person making the request a disservice by saying yes all of the time,” says author Duke Robinson. Here’s how to do the right thing―for yourself and others―in common scenarios where you know that opting out is your best option. Don’t feel guilty. Just take these tips from experts on etiquette and communication―and a cue from your favorite two-year-old―and say no.

Learn the power of saying “no” when you need to. This is not easy by any means, but it’s the only way to stay focused on the important things in your life. Saying yes to everything may result in the loss of ability to say yes to the best things. Say no more often and take back the control over your schedule and your life.

It can make appreciating the good parts of life hard, while making it easy to focus on the bad. So what can you do if you’re suffering from depression? Work on creating a positive and uplifting social life. Try hard to be more positive and show warmth to your friends and in social situations. Take an interest in them and work on developing and sharing the same interests and activities.
